True Bond

For I want you to know how great is my solicitude for you [how severe an inward struggle I am engaged in for you] and for those [believers] at Laodicea, and for all who [like yourselves] have never seen my face and known me personally. Colossians 2:1 (AMP)

The Question: Why would someone have great concern for others, when he had never met them?

The answer: "Those believers."

The bond of true Christians is not based on if we go to the same church, or if we live in the some community, or even the same state. The true bond of Christians is Jesus Christ. And that bond makes miles disappear and unites people all over the world.

The internet has made our world much smaller, in that we can have instant access to other Continents. It wasn't that long ago, where we'd have to wait months to receive a letter from around the world. Now, we wait seconds.

With the instant access of the World at out grasp, the question then is: Am I using it to draw closer to other believers? Am I using it to encourage them?

Paul had great concern for other believers, even those he never met. If I am to have that same concern, it begins in my heart. And for my heart to beat with the love and concern for others, it must be permeated with a deep sense of reverence for God (Acts 9:31 MSG).

Taking care of details!

I LOVE God's attention to details!

In Sept 2009, I got my internet connection. They had a lot of trouble when they first connected it, since our door buzzers use the phone lines. But after several tries and visits, they got it all working.
Yesterday, my internet went out. I rebooted everything, but still no connection. I called the company and they said, "Looks like a problem on the line. We'll send a tech out ASAP."

The Tech came today. He tested everything and asked me a few questions. He then said, "They did tell you that this visit may cost you, right?" I said, "yes, depending on what's wrong..... so, how much will it cost me?"

"It would be $100.00, but since they gave you the WRONG equipment in 2009, I'm going to give you the correct equipment at NO charge! Come to find out the equipment they gave me is only if you have internet, TV, and phone. I only have internet and phone.

So, thankful that God knew in 2009..... that when the equipment needed to be replaced in 2014... I wouldn't have an extra $100.00.... so God made sure that He arranged it so I wouldn't be charged.

Talk about taking care of details!
He's so awesome!!

Another Unexpected Blessing!

Today, I went to Select Comfort to order my Sleep Number mattress for the new Daybed. The salesman, Chris, was very helpful in explaining the differences between the two I was considering. After I got the pricing, I left for a while to think about which mattress would provide the most comfort.
Upon returning, Chris mentioned that if I bought the P5, I'd also get a free blanket! That was just icing on the cake....because that was the one I had chosen. As Chris was writing up the order and verifying my information, I handed him one of my business cards. On the top of my cards it has the Create a Positive Day logo matching this blog. As he looked at the card.... he realized he had seen that before. He then said, "this is an inspirational blog....isn't it?" I said "yes". While surfing the internet, he had come across my blog and enjoyed reading it. I though it was so COOL that God brought us together so that we could meet! Another unexpected blessing from God!

Create a Positive Day! That means more to me today than yesterday. I was reminded again that I have a responsibility to honor God in my life and in my writings. People are watching me and reading what I write—many of whom I'll never meet face to face. I have a responsibility to make sure that all aspects of my life honor God. Create a positive day is more than a logo or slogan... it is my way of life.
And the only way to truly
create a positive day,
is to be living my life honoring God.
