Blizzard Feb 2011

When man thinks he can do anything and is unstoppable—
God sends tiny snowflakes and shuts down everything.

I love God's sense of humor
and His awesome mighty power!
Here are a few pictures taken from my balcony.
Feb 1, 2011 about 3:00 pm CST.

Feb 1, 2011 about 10:00 pm CST.

Feb 1, 2011 about 10:00 pm CST.

I think the snow was a bit too deep for these ducks!

The ducks at 7:15 am Feb 2, 2011.

The ducks at 7:15 am Feb 2, 2011.

They flew, only to sink back into the snow when they landed.
As I watch the snow continue to fall this morning,
I can't help but be reminded that God is in control.
And knowing that God is in control, is so comforting!
Today will be a very positive day,
because I can enjoy the beauty of God's work
as He sends the snow.

Adoration to My Holy God

 "Lift high God, our God;
worship at his holy mountain.
Holy. Yes, holy is God our God."
Psalm 99:9 (The Message)
Adoration to My Holy God
by Rhonda Sawtelle
To God be the glory, and honor due Your holy Name.
God, the most holy. I meditate on Your majesty.
God, the most holy. I am in awe—Almighty, Absolute Being
God, the most holy. I glorify Your greatness.
To God be the glory, and honor due Your holy Name.

God, the most holy. I can’t begin to fathom Your faithfulness.
God, the most holy. I marvel at Your mercy.
God, the most holy. I can’t imagine Your immutability.
To God be the glory, and honor due Your holy Name.

God, the most holy. I treasure Your trustworthiness.
God, the most holy. I give voice to Your goodness.
God, the most holy. I’m wowed by Your wisdom.
To God be the glory, and honor due Your holy Name.

God, the most holy. I am secure in Your sovereignty.
God, the most holy. I am sheltered in Your Self-existence.
God, the most holy. I am galvanized (inspired) by your Grace.
To God be the glory, and honor due Your holy Name.

God, the most holy. I am invigorated by Your infinitude.
God, the most holy. I am overcome by Your omniscience.
God, the most holy. I am humbled by Your holiness.
To God be the glory, and honor due Your holy Name.

Each of us need to remember WHO God is. He is greater than we can even comprehend. And yet, the Holy God loves me (and you) so much. He has no reason to love us—He simply does. However, He is also holy. He loves us, but abhors sin. If I want to create a positive day, then I need to remember Who God is and live my life acting on that knowledge.
 God, the most holy.
To God be the glory, and honor due Your holy Name.

God is Faithful

God is Faithful
by Rhonda Sawtelle
God, my Confidant, my Savior,
Faithful is His code of behavior.
Steadfast, unchangeable, unshakable.
Being something different—He’s just unable.
I Am can be nothing other than who He is.

True blue, never slow, never wavering.
Rock-solid; forever unchanging.
In the past, He has proven Himself true.
In the present and future, He’ll simply continue.
I Am can be nothing other than who He is.

Promises kept, loyal, reliable, sure.
Awesome faithfulness—without measure.
No role in God’s faithfulness, has human frailty.
Unfaithfulness to God’s Being is contrary.
I Am can be nothing other than who He is.

Unfathomable, incomprehensible,
It is simply and utterly impossible—
Unfaithfulness is not even a choice.
In God’s faithfulness—with assurance—rejoice.
I Am can be nothing other than Who He Is.

__________________________
When God wanted to guarantee his promises, he gave his word, a rock-solid guarantee—God can’t break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable. We who have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go. It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the very presence of God where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us, in the order of Melchizedek.”  Hebrews 6:17-19 (The Message)

The guarantee of God's promises provide a rock-solid base to making any and every day positive!
